Window Into Summer’s Flowers

While it may feel like summer here in Sarasota two thirds of the year, it technically isn't, a fact which we here at Beneva are happy to make clear. Why? Because every season has its individual flowers (though spring and summer have a lot in common), and we don't want to take away from the debut of each crop as it springs to life. There's plenty of reasons to take a peek at what's in store for us this summer, even if many of its floral beauties are available to us year-round, given our climate. Honoring Our Heroes On Memorial Day

Here at Beneva, we are often called upon to provide the flowers and plants for bereavement services and ceremonies. It's a privilege every time, and no more than in the case of the men and women who gave their lives in sacrifice to our country. Recently, our floral designs were displayed at the funeral of one of the last remaining survivors of the USS Indianapolis, a military veteran deserving of every accolade. On Memorial Day, we remember those military men and women who died while in service. We attend parades, ceremonies and even gatherings in the home to mark this poignant occasion.
