It is often that our brides begin the shopping process with a general idea of what they like, and a budget that, in some cases, could mean compromise.  Wedding creations are not governed by a cookie cutter product code. It is not a product that has a serial number or that can easily be compared to others. Even though you could see the same picture in another store, the question will always be, is this exactly what the bouquet will look like? After all your wedding day is not the time to be exchanging or finding out that what you may have been promised is not what you expected. So what is most important? Trust.

How do you avoid this? Here are a few thoughts.

* If you are pricing a bridal bouquet of all red roses, have the stem count in your contract. Be sure that what you see is what you get.

* If you see a bouquet with lots of different colors or types of flowers, ask if the price is for the exact flowers, or color theme, or both. Sometimes a picture can be quoted as “similar to.” If that is the case, be sure you know exactly what it is similar to.

* Last is trust. It is good to check price but be careful. Because flowers are perishable, freshness counts. You want your flowers making it through the entire wedding!  Be sure the florist you select is well known, respected and awarded. If they are, then you can rest assured you are in good hands.
