Red Rules for Veterans Day
Every year, November 11 brings us Veterans Day, a time reserved to honor both our active and retired military and to reflect on their brave efforts to keep our country safe. It’s also an occasion to personally thank them for their service, and we here at Beneva & Plantscapes know a little something about that. If you’re going to send a floral gift, think in theme and try to bring in colors from the flag, especially its boldest hue. We say that for Veterans Day, red rules.
Powerful, impossible to miss and associated with valor and courage, red is an important and symbolic color to include in a Veterans Day floral design. No, we aren’t suggesting you send a dozen roses (unless you are communicating both your romantic love for your vet as well as your respect). Instead, think of daring, impactful arrangements using daisies or even hibiscus, an area staple. Or go with a flowering plant like our Anthurium.
Blood red, heart-shaped flowers rise up from this striking vase full of black river rock. Easy to take care of and ever blooming, a floral piece like this really measures up to the occasion of Veterans Day. It’s unique, symbolic and definitely makes a strong statement, just as your vet has. Stop by Beneva & Plantscapes or call, and we’ll work with you to craft the perfect arrangement for this special day.
