Employee Spotlight: Meet Bo Williams
At Beneva, we believe the beauty of our flowers is only matched by the people who help bring them to life. While stunning arrangements may be what you see, there’s a dedicated team behind the scenes making it all happen with early mornings, creative minds, and a whole lot of heart. Get to know a little more about the people behind the petals and what makes our Beneva family so special.
This month, we’re excited to shine the spotlight on one of the amazing individuals who keeps our operation running smoothly: Facility Maintenance Manager Bo Williams.
Facility Maintenance Manager Bo Williams
What is your role at Beneva, and what is your favorite part of the job?
My role is Facility Maintenance Manager. I think the favorite part of my job is being able to help resolve problems and crises. It’s a good moment for me being able to keep everything running smoothly for the business, and all my fellow coworkers. I enjoy helping others turn a bad moment into a good one.
How did you get started in the floral industry?
Kinda funny story with that, to be honest. I was in the mattress industry selling mattresses, and David came into my store looking for a new mattress for his son. We spent some time talking about my industry, and David mentioned he was a local business owner and of course I was curious to know. Long story short, 2 weeks after I met David and had a few more conversations, I came on board with the Beneva team.
If you could design a bouquet to match your personality, what would be in it?
I think if I was going to design a Bouquet to match my personality, it would have to be bright and cheery with a touch of fun. I’m not a floral designer, but I know if I told our designers that’s what I want they would knock it out of the park for me.
What’s one thing about working in a flower shop that people might be surprised to learn?
Something one might not know about working in a flower shop, would be the amount of time and people it takes to run a 5 star flower shop from the time an order comes in, and all the steps till it arrives at your doorstep. It’s a fairly large process I would have never thought about without being involved.
What’s your favorite local spot to grab lunch or coffee on a break?
Local favorite lunch spot? I hate to say it, but 7 Eleven is my go to throughout the day, as I’m always traveling from one location to another.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
I have always wanted to go to Australia and scuba dive the great barrier reef.
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received (floral or otherwise)?
