Pantone’s Color Of The Year In Flowers

Every year, a group of color experts at Pantone® choose a color to designate as the color of that year. For 2018, they selected UltraViolet, a color that is a combination of red and blue. There are many shades of purple, but Ultra Violet is neither dark or light. It’s vibrant, bold, and above all, bright. We challenged the Beneva team of artisans and floral designers to come up with ideas that incorporate this dramatic color into an elegant and sophisticated arrangement.

They came up with a spectacular design that we’re calling Artisan Orchids and Succulents. A clear rectangular glass vase sets the stage for this gorgeous display that will create a dramatic focal point on an entryway console table, a living room console table, a fireplace mantle, or on a buffet or in the middle of your dining room table. The vase is filled with curly willow that secures the stems of lush white and green hydrangeas. Delicate ultra-violet-colored orchids take center stage, and gray green-colored succulents add texture and contrast. We think it’s an unusual combination of flowers and decorative elements that are reminiscent of the simplicity of Asian floral designs.

A design that will “wow” and impress with its height and artful placement of purple orchids among curly willow, white hydrangea and succulents. The Beneva team is always eager to help our local customers infuse their homes with the bright and dramatic color and the delightful aroma that can only come from flowers. Whether you’re looking for a gift to send a faraway friend or relative to mark a special occasion, or wanting to chase the winter doldrums out of your house, we will help you choose the ideal floral design to make that bold statement you wish to convey.
